This bulletin considers medication that is associated with treatment breaks, also known as drug holidays, and provides suggestions for commissioning organisations and clinicians to assist in reviewing medicines and considering treatment breaks.
Medicines included are antidepressants, bisphosphonates, proton pump inhibitors, hypnotics, topical corticosteroids, and medicines for ADHD, chronic pain and urinary incontinence.
