Leadership in Primary Care - The evolving role of pharmacists as Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) - 25th September 2025

This session is the sixth in our pharmacy leadership webinar series, continuing our focus on the development of pharmacy professionals within primary care. The webinar explored the evolving role of pharmacists as Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs).

Speakers:

• Nipa Patel, Lead PCN Pharmacist and ACP at SASSE 2 & 3 PCN, outlined her journey to becoming an ACP, including the training and experiences that supported her development, and how she is applying her ACP role to enhance patient care within primary care settings.
• Jayshree Sharma, Consultant Pathway Pharmacist for Frailty and Older People at North East London Foundation Trust, described her progression into the consultant pharmacist pathway and explain how this differs from the ACP pathway.
