On 9th August 2022 1-2pm, we welcomed Professor Tony Avery who spoke about the National Overprescribing Review.
Tony is a GP in Nottingham and Professor of Primary Health Care in the School of Medicine at Nottingham University. He is also an NIHR Senior Investigator and member of the NIHR Greater Manchester Patient Safety Translational Research Centre. In March 2022 he was appointed as the inaugural National Clinical Director for Prescribing with NHS England, to help tackle the issue of overprescribing.
