NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde supports clinicians with multiple ways to access prescribing guidance. This includes the GGC Medicines Adult Therapeutics Handbook (TH), website and mobile app (available to download free from the App Store and Google Play), an innovative resource widely used by NHS GGC hospital clinicians (and well beyond – see supporting document below for global reach figures) which contains over 200 pages of prescribing guidelines, good prescribing guidance and three medical calculators.
The TH is widely regarded as an essential resource for acute prescribers, particularly junior doctors. The TH has a very active editorial group comprised of acute clinicians, pharmacists and governance experts.
The TH is maintained for use across GGC's nine acute hospitals and on average in accessed once every minute, 24/7.
